At Palos Verdes High School, a group of passionate and driven students is stepping into the future of medicine through the One in Seven Campaign.

In this post, we spotlight one of the great teams that organized an impactful Kidney Awareness Week at Palos Verdes High School to recognize National Kidney Month and World Kidney Day. The Awareness week culminated in a powerful, symbolic moment—an aerial photo of hundreds of students forming a kidney shape on the school field. This photo not only captured attention but also embodied the campaign’s mission: to unite the community, spark conversation, and emphasize the importance of kidney health and awareness. Watch our time-lapse video of hundreds of students organizing into a kidney shape for World Kidney Day!

The NextGen Nephrology Team represents the future of medicine—students who are not waiting to make a difference, but are already doing it. Through leadership, creativity, and compassion, they are helping to build a more informed and healthier community.

Because awareness is the first step—and together, we can make a difference.
